Charles is another ghost from the same school, played by English actor Jayden Revri. He is very energetic, but he also loves adventures. He uses a magical cricket bat while he is in dangerous situations.

Crystal is a psychic medium who becomes friends with the ghosts after they save her from demonic possession.
Yuyu Kitamura (Niko Sasaki)
Niko is a Japanese high school student who gains the ability to see ghosts after a supernatural encounter. She helps detectives so that they can solve the myteries and those skills she learned from Scooby-Doo and manga. This is her most important job first.
Briana Cuoco (Jenny the Butcher)
Jenny is Crystal and Niko's landlord, who runs a butcher shop.She becomes friends with someone named Crystal. Even though some weird things are happening around them, Jenny doesn't pay much attention to it.
Ruth Connell (Night Nurse)
The Night Nurse is a supernatural bureaucrat who works for Death. She's after Edwin and Charles, but she's not evil, just overworked. Scottish actor Ruth Connell plays Night Nurse.

Thomas is a talking cat who serves as the King of Cats. He's kind of sassy and really protective of his group.

David is Crystal's ex-boyfriend and a demon who haunts her. He wants to have her again.
Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Death)
Death of the Endless is an important character in the series, though the extent of her appearance is not confirmed.
"Dead Boy Detectives" it's about two dead guys who solve mysteries as ghosts. The show has funny parts and it's a bit weird. The story is connected to the Sandman Universe.
The main characters, Charles and Edwin, choose not to go to the afterlife.They don't leave Earth. They solve spooky crimes.The show is mainly for young adults.It has lots of small mysteries, but they're not too complicated.
I liked a few characters a lot, especially Niko and Jenny. They are very fun in the series. The special effects are okay but not perfect. Sometimes they look fake. The show is long, with eight episodes that are each about an hour. But it moves along quickly.
Some parts try to be funny but didn't work for me. There are some gory scenes too. I already mentioned it, this show is for teens and young adults, but even olders can enjoy it. One thing I didn't like was a side story about a government group chasing the detectives. It felt unnecessary.
